Aurora Ruiz Youmans

Received B.A. degree in 1995 in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park Maryland and a Juris Doctorate Degree of Law in 2004 from Shepherd Broad Law Center, Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Spent a year as a visiting student at the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2003-2004 receiving Mediation Certification from the Maryland Mediation and Arbitration Resolution Office (MACRO). Completed Internship with Public Defender’s Office in Charles County Maryland and Clinical hours at the Family Law Center in Ft. Lauderdale Florida at Shepherd Broad Law Center. Have been a member of the Maryland State Bar for 15 years working as a solo practitioner, in private practice law firms, and with the Small Business Administration (SBA) under government contracts as an audit reviewer. Experience includes family law and civil litigation, criminal litigation, juvenile services and small business advocacy.
