Darley Twiddy

Darley Twiddy is a native to Virginia who graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts as an English major and double minor in Criminal Justice and Dance. She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, with honors, where she was one of the few students to compete on both the Mock Trial Team and the Moot Court Honor Board. She returned to Virginia to practice law where she owned and operated her own solo practice law firm and worked for a small general practice law firm prior to joining Friedman, Framme & Thrush, P.A.

Mrs. Twiddy has served as court-appointed counsel for civil commitment hearings at the state and private mental health hospitals since 2013 and has a deep understanding of mental health as it relates to civil commitment, judicial authorization of treatment, guardianship, conservatorship, and criminal law. She has served as Guardian ad Litem for children and incapacitated adults as well as serving as Guardian and Conservator for an incapacitated adult. At Friedman, Framme & Thrush, P.A., Mrs. Twiddy focuses most of her practice on family law and criminal law matters.
