Edward R. McCormick, III began practicing law in 1991 after graduating from Suffolk University Law School. He assists Friedman, Framme & Thrush clients throughout Rhode Island in a variety of legal matters. Mr. McCormick possesses a wide range of experience in business law, collections, personal injury and estate planning. He works closely with small business clients in Rhode Island.
Mr. McCormick served Rhode Island Legislature as Legal Counsel on Senate Corporations from 1993-1998. During this time he reviewed and revised legislation submitted and approved by committee. From 2000-2005 Mr. McCormick served as a Zoning Board Member in the Town of Cumberland where he reviewed and acted on original zoning applications and appeals from Zoning Official and Planning Board. He also served as Town of Cumberland Assistant Solicitor from 2005-2007. As the Assistant Solicitor he acted as attorney for zoning and planning board, and handled contract review and consultation on personnel matters.
Mr. McCormick served as a faculty member at the University of Phoenix from 2003-2006. He taught courses in employment law at the University’s Greater Boston Campus.
